Austwick Parish Hall Council

 Each year, all members of the Council retire at the Annual General Meeting.  

Accordingly, invitations are invited for nominations and these must be deposited with the Secretary by Friday 1st February for nominations [with a seconder] for the following four offices

Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer & Secretary

and in addition

six co-opted members

 

The Parish Hall is held in Trust for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Austwick and its immediate vicinity.

All members of the Council, therefore, become Trustees during their term of office or period of election.

 

The Trust document together with outline duties of a Trustee as provided by The Charity Commission can be viewed by contacting the Secretary of the Parish Hall Council.

The Parish Hall Building is connected by Wireless LAN to the Austwick Community Network. This facility  has created the building as one of the 'hot spots' within the Network Area. Those using the letting facility can be connected to the community high speed, Broadband facility. This connection will be based on a minimum twenty four hours connection and will involve the payment of a connection fee and a fee for the period required. This ICT facility is supported by Grant Aid from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and European Community Funds. Charges for the

use of the Network which has a fast Internet connection are very affordable.
